So many great restaurants - so little time!!! Rockland is recognized as one of the best cities for great eats north of Portland. The Berry Manor Inn, recognized among the top eco-friendly inns in the country by BedandBreakfast.com, is bringing eco-travel to the taste buds! The Berry Manor Inn with the other Historic Inns of Rockland, have partnered with local chef-owned restaurants and unique food shops that specialize in local fare to provide a one-of-a-kind progressive dinner and gastronomic getaway! The Savor the Flavor of Rockland Package, combines a fresh taste of Rockland with a relaxing and romantic getaway to Midcoast Maine.

The Savor the Flavor of Rockland Package, is offered non-holiday/event Wednesday through Sunday nights January through May, 2011 and includes a progressive dinner (two courses hearty appetizers and a dessert sampler or three courses of hearty appetizers) at your choice of any three participating restaurants. Each restaurant will offer a specially created tasting menu, featuring signature selections prepared from locally grown or homemade ingredients. Starting at 6:00pm, diners will start at the first restaurant, then walk to the second for a seating at 7:00 pm and end the evening at an 8:00 pm seating with a third selection of fabulous fresh and creative fare. Tasting menus will vary week to week depending upon availability of fresh ingredients.

The evening will conclude with a luxurious overnight stay where guests will be encouraged to sleep in the following morning and plan to catch the tail end of the breakfast seating.

Enjoy the next day sampling the other flavors of Rockland with an olive oil tasting at Fiore Olive Oils, artisan bread tasting at Atlantic Baking, cheese sampling at Sweets & Meats Market and coffee sampling at our own organic coffee roaster, Rock City Roasters. All venues will offer samples and special discounts to our package guests.

The Savor the Flavor of Rockland package includes:

• One night stay in the room of your choice on any non-holiday/event Wednesday through Sunday nights, January through May, 2011.
• Specially prepared progressive "Rockland Dine Around" dinner for two (beverages, tax and gratuity not included). Select from Amalfi on the Water, Cafe Miranda, Lily Bistro, In Good Company Wine Bar and Rustica Cucina Italiana for your three restaurants.
• Full and hearty gourmet breakfast for two.
• Exclusive tastings and special discounts at Fiore Olive Oils, Atlantic Baking Company, Sweets and Meats Market and Rock City Roasters.
• An eco-friendly reusable bag in which to carry leftovers and groceries thereafter.

The package ranges from $200-$325 (2 room suite) depending upon room choice. Book a second night, and receive ten percent (10%) off your meal cost at any of the three participating restaurants (alcohol, tax and gratuity not included) for dinner the following evening. Participating restaurants include Amalfi on the Water, Cafe Miranda, In Good Company Wine Bar, Lily Bistro and Rustica Cucina Italiana.

The Savor the Flavor of Rockland Package is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion, or enjoy a short getaway while being treated to a one-of-a-kind dinner. The progressive dinner is available only to the Berry Manor inn and other Historic Inns of Rockland guests and must be reserved ten days in advance to guarantee reservations. If reservations are requested less than ten days, please call your innkeeper to see if reservations are still available. The inn is walking distance to the downtown and restaurants so this is a car free getaway! Spend the day enjoying our many specialty shops on Main Street like Fiore Olive Oils (tasting room for olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars), Sweets and Meats (gourmet cheeses and groceries), Atlantic Baking Company (artisan breads), The Store (specialty kitchen supplies) and The Wine Seller (wines and spirits).

Live in Boston and want to make it a "Fly and Savor the Flavor of Rockland� package? Just add $150 (per person) to the package and we will include two round trip tickets from Boston to Rockland's airport aboard Cape Air's commuter plane and will include pick up and drop off service from the inn to the airport. The inn is walking distance to the downtown and restaurants so this is a car free getaway!

This package cannot be combined with any other specials or discounts and is subject to the inn's normal policies including a 10-day cancellation policy. Prevailing Maine State lodging tax rate will apply.
